“Nose” is a cafe and educational space in the Dnipro. “Our business started with a love of coffee. I wanted to open a place where you can come, drink delicious coffee, and enjoy the atmosphere. But over time, it has become more of a small educational and cultural center in our city. My business was formed based on my interests in coffee and knowledge. Upon receiving the news of the closure for quarantine, Oleg immediately abandoned the semi-legal stories with a not wholly closed room, because these options are not about the “Nose.” When we closed, I was sad, not only in business terms but also in terms of the emotions you get here. People came here for impressions, for the place itself. We are not located in the central part, but people come here specifically to drink a cup of coffee. For many, coming here is more expensive than a coffee cup, and people still go for it. We immediately ruled out some semi-legal ways of selling coffee, because it’s not for our establishment, not for our customers. Even after losing 90-95% of his income during the closed period, Oleg does not think about closing the cafe forever. “I think now people are really missing the delicious coffee and the opportunity to meet somewhere. That’s what we’re working for.”
