The March & Co bakery’s main activity is cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts with delivery in Kyiv and the suburbs. Sofia Terebova founded her bakery March & Co when she was 18. At that time, she was studying at the university, and at the same time, she baked cupcakes to order. Sofia has her own view on the activities she has been living with the last seven years. “We bake deliciously, all for ourselves. Quality products, proven recipes, professional confectioners, handmade and homemade taste. We make people a little happier and help forget about difficulties, at least for the time while a piece of cake is not yet fully eaten.” On March 16, March & Co received the disappointing news that all coffee house partners were temporarily closed, which meant no one to sell to. “For three days I was anxious, I let part of the team go home with the words: “Everything is ok, we’ll come up with something.” But we didn’t really have a plan.” For Sofia, the main task, as for many entrepreneurs in the country, is to maintain a small but vital team of like-minded people. “The team is the most valuable thing – the people who invest in the project, who want improvement, who share our values. I want to keep them. Therefore, my task now is to provide them with work. There aren’t many of us, so, fortunately, we succeed.” Sofia looks at the times of Ukraine’s exit from the quarantine realities realistically. I sincerely hope for the best, but I am morally ready for any solution.
